Laser Periodontal Therapy (LANAP)

LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is a minimally invasive laser treatment for gum disease. The PerioLase MVP7 Nd:YAG laser delivers gentle pulses of light to effectively remove infected gum tissue and kill the damaging bacteria hidden between teeth and gums, without the need for a scalpel or sutures. This results in the formation of a new attachment between the gums and teeth, promoting healing and reducing gum recession. LANAP tends to be less traumatic to the surrounding tissue than traditional surgical methods, leading to less bleeding, swelling, and discomfort after the procedure, as well as a quicker recovery time.
